On Tuesday 21st August and Friday 24th August the Rata Team classes all visited the Orokonui Ecosanctuary. This was a part of their Science Topic learning about New Zealand’s special fauna. The children met many birds, invertebrates and at least one eel during their nature walk. Although they were mostly hiding during the visits, they also learnt more about tuatara, geckos and skinks. The weather was varied but it didn’t dampen our fun!
