PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION (P.T.A.):
This is a voluntary organisation whose main purpose is to liaise with parents and teachers to foster school/community relationships. Members are elected at the AGM usually in February. This group encourages parents to take part in as many school activities as possible. Staff appreciates the support the P.T.A. gives to the school. Reciprocal visits of members between the Board and P.T.A. meetings are held each month. We are very fortunate to have a most active and postive group of parents who are involved in the Anderson's Bay School P.T.A.
The P.T.A. organises a variety of activities to provide funds for equipment and resources additional to Ministry of Education funding. Activities in past year have included fairs, sausage sizzles, grounds beautification, school discos, fundraising opportunities and catering for school special ocassions, but to name a few.
