Christmas is a time for celebrating and sharing special times with family and friends. But sadly, not everyone is as fortunate as families at Anderson’s Bay. Children in the Kowhai Team donated food cans and the children across the Rata Team donated recycled or new toys. All the children wrapped their own gifts and made labels stating if the toy was for a boy or girl. It was nice for the children to understand that giving a little, helps a lot. Children were learning about kindness and understanding for those less fortunate than ourselves.
Ruth from the Salvation Army came along to talk to the children and show her appreciation of the wonderful gifts donated, stating that lots of families would be very grateful for the kind and thoughtful donations.
