Celebrating Matariki

We have loved celebrating Matariki this week. We created beautiful artworks and learnt about Matariki through stories and songs.

As part of the celebration of Matariki Week the Totara Team students had a shared kai on Monday 18^th June.  Martariki celebrates the Maori New Year.  The sharing of kai is an important part of Maori culture and it was very well received by our students.  There was a wide variety of food that the students enjoyed.
