Inquiry Topic On China

As part of the Kowhai Team's inquiry topic on China, we had a Chinese morning. We made paper cups which we decorated and coloured with Chinese patterns. After that we all helped to prepare the vegetables for our Chinese meal. Everyone had a turn to chop up carrots, broccoli, cabbage and onion. After play we fried the vegetables, eggs and rice. Then we had the fried rice in our paper cups and ate it with chopsticks. We could have soya sauce on it if we liked. Some people had several helpings as it was so delicious! We also had some green tea. That was very tasty.
After our fried rice meal, all the Kowhai classes went outside to play some different Chinese games. They were called Cat Chases the Mouse, Fingers Out, Hopping Chicken, Catch the Dragon's Tail, Hawk Catching the Chick and Moon Cake.

Everyone had a great time.
