Playscape Working Bee

Sunny day?-check

Gravel, top soil and compost?-check

A group of enthusiastic kids and adults raring to go?  - Check!

The Playscape is looking very different after Saturday’s working bee!  A warm thank you to everyone for giving up their time, bringing enthusiasm, a community-minded attitude  and muscle power in order to shift gravel, compost, tree trunks, plants and weeds.   We could literally not have done it without you all and we have made a significant financial saving to boot.   The children were just as enthusiastic as the adults and eager to help out from the start.  A special thank you has to go to Shaun, Stuart, Laurence and Grant for digging 1.2m deep holes for the shade posts to go into eventually.  You were awesome!

Thank you to Bloem’s Farm and Debbie McEwan for donating and delivering quality compost, and Warren and Eileen for donating and delivering topsoil.  Thank you Sarah and Lizzie for the baking; it was appreciated during a well-earned rest mid-way.

Look out for the next installment…
