During the year the Board of Trustees have reviewed our existing Anderson's Bay School Uniform, design, options and supply. In the past months the Board of Trustees have decided to make some changes to our uniform. From the end of the 2019 school year the supply of the Anderson's Bay School uniform will be met by NZ Uniforms. NZ Uniforms offers much greater flexibility around purchasing options, including online ordering, payment options and accessibility. In addition to change of supply, the Board of Trustees have also reviewed the uniform design and options. In response to feedback received from the Uniform Survey earlier in the year the Board determined that the current colour and quality of our polo tops is problematic. Therefore, these have been redesigned, not only in colour but also in fabric to be a much more durable, "dry fit" style top in a blend of colours that is consistent with our current uniform colour but eliminates the discoloration issues many parents have reported. The outer top has also been redesigned in both colour and fabric to address some of the issues reported by families. The options of uniform pieces has predominantly remained the same with some improvements in fabric and design, including pockets in all uniform pieces, which we know has been an ongoing issue. In addition to these changes the Board have also added in further OPTIONAL uniform garments, including a school beanie, softshell jacket and a merino top. The thin microfleece has been removed as an option given the very poor feedback regarding the quality of this item. The pricing schedule for our uniform has remained roughly the same, with most items being slightly less expensive. An exception to this is the polo top. The Board of Trustees have decided to accept a more expensive garment, based on design and a significant increase in the quality of the top, believing that when taking into account other slight decreases in uniform pieces and the life expectancy of this top will make it more than comparative. Although the new uniform options will be available for 2020, the Board acknowledges the existing uniform and that there needs to be a transition period for changing our uniform style. Hence, the new uniform style will not be expected to be worn throughout the school until 2021 and we expect that 2020 will see a variation of uniform styles being worn as this new uniform is transitioned into our school.
Below are details, uniform images and further information about our uniform and NZ Uniforms.
Uniforms will be available for purchase from NZ uniforms, from the beginning of 2020. Adventure Outfitters no longer stock an Anderson's Bay School uniforms.
