The Peninsula Art Exhibition was recently held at Bayfield High School.

Molly Wagner (Year 6) shown above with her artwork was placed First in her year and Bodhi Clark (did not have his artwork at school on the day the photograph was taken) was awarded Highly Commended.
Congratulations to Molly and Bodhi and to all our other students who participated.
2018 Year 6 Camp

Year 6 Outdoor Education 3rd to 7th December 2018
We will be having a camp meeting on Tuesday 28th of August at 7pm for parents who are interested in volunteering their time at school camp this year. We will discuss how the camp will run for 2018 and collect documentation required for the police vetting process, which can take 6 to 8 weeks. Please bring along two forms of identification, (driver licence and passport). One form of identification must contain a photograph.
We look forward to seeing you there.
School Uniforms

We are proud of our children and especially how tidy and smart they look in the Anderson’s Bay School uniform. It is an expectation that children will wear the correct uniform at school.
-
Black shorts/skort, black school track pants, blue school polo-shirt, zip fleece blue-black jacket, microfleece black top; school sun-hats terms 1 and 4.
-
Visible undergarments must be black only
-
Appropriate footwear to be worn please.
Refer to the school website for uniform supply information.
Thank you for your support and cooperation.
Your child may be given a reminder about their uniform if they are seen wearing non-uniform clothing.

For Sale

-
The school has a quantity of school desks which are now available for sale. The desks are manufactured of varnished chipboard with powder coated metal legs. They have flip up tops with storage underneath, are well used and very sturdy. They are available for $2 each.
-
The school has replaced it’s wooden flagpole. It is believed that the pole is Oregon. It is 6 metres in length. The bottom 0.5 metres (approx) is badly rotted. The fittings (rope, pulley, cleat) are included but are due for replacement. All offers considered.
Lost Property

We have quite a lot of lost property. Most of the lost property are unnamed school uniforms, or have the name of children who have on-sold it to current unnamed students.
Parents, please ensure you name all of your children’s clothes.
Items that have been in the Lost Property box (in the school hall) will be dated and recycled after 8 weeks.

PTA News

Thank you to all the parents who helped with the Disco last Friday. Without your help it could not have happened.

The next PTA Meeting will be held on Tuesday, 21 August 2018 in the school staff room at 7:30pm. New members most welcome!

The PTA has a Facebook page called “Andersons Bay Community”. This page is for advertising school events and fundraising events. Families are also able to sell and purchase school uniforms and school sports uniforms.
Posts on this page are monitored.

Anderson's Bay School PTA are again co-ordinating Entertainment Books for our school. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to provide these books to our community and also to support the fundraising ventures of our PTA. We look forward to your support of our school in this fundraiser.

The PTA have an important role in the function and resourcing of the school. They have worked tirelessly to support many initiatives within the school, such as the environmental garden, playscape development, Discovery Friday, games in classrooms, technology purchases and the School Fair - among others.
They would like to extend an invitation to all parents to join their meetings and the organisation. They assure all prospective members not to be put off by the thought of highly demanding tasks: parents contribute only as their time and means permit and new parents are supported by current PTA members to help with events.
