Recently we have noticed a number of younger children bringing bikes to school. At Anderson's Bay School only children in Year 6 are permitted to bring their bikes to school. Please see the outline of the school procedures below with some helpful information about the rules around bikes and scooters.
As school officially finishes at 3pm we ask that students do not re-enter their classrooms or any other school building after this time. We would ask that students (not part of the after school care programme) leave the school grounds immediately following the 3pm bell. We have previously requested this due to the number of children attempting to play with the children in the Magic programme and the supervision issues this causes in the playground adjacent to the hall and hall area, which Magic use. This is currently becoming an increasing problem and we would appreciate your support in ensuring that children are removed from this area. The Playscape is a fantastic place to meet afterschool should you wish.
Please refrain from riding scooters, bikes or skateboards through the school grounds as this becomes a danger for others around.
If your child is going to be absent from school can you please:

The PTA are holding their Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, 11 March 2020 at 7:30pm in the school staff room. All new members are welcome. Meetings are held every second Wednesday of the month.
The PTA have an important role in the function and resourcing of the school. They have worked tirelessly to support many initiatives within the school, such as the environmental garden, playscape development, Discovery Friday, games in classrooms, technology purchases and the School Food and Fun Day - among others.
They would like to extend an invitation to all parents to join their meetings and the organisation. They assure all prospective members not to be put off by the thought of highly demanding tasks: parents contribute only as their time and means permit and new parents are supported by current PTA members to help with events.
If you are interested in becoming a member please contact the school office or email pta@andybay.ac.nz
This platter was left following a shared lunch in Rooms 3/4 at the end of last year. If this belongs to you please call at the school office to collect.
