A Message From Our Board Chair

Thank you for choosing Anderson’s Bay School for your children.

The Board of Trustees (the ‘Board’) brings together five parent representatives, the Principal and a Teacher Staff Representative to provide strategic direction and oversight for the school.

We, as a Board, are very proud of our school with its focus on improving student achievement outcomes, which in plain language means on our children’s learning and development; whilst at the same time creating a nurturing and encouraging environment where all children can express themselves and learn to the best of their abilities.

We recognise and celebrate diversity reflected in our curriculum, as well as the many and varied extra curricula activities and experiences on offer at our school.

We are blessed at Anderson’s Bay School with a strong legacy in the Board, a talented teaching team led by our highly regarded Principal, Hamish McDonald, and the strong involvement of our wider school community reflected for example in the strength of our PTA and Friends of the PTA.

We all work together to ensure Anderson’s Bay School has the best people and the resources it requires to provide an outstanding learning environment- which we feel will only be enhanced through the recent development of our MLE (‘Modern Learning Environment’). And certainly, if you want to see what you can do to get involved as well feel free to ask.

So, on behalf of the Board, I would like to welcome you and your children to our school. I am sure your children will have a great introduction to their learning that will set them up for life.
